HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUSTON GUNNER HARBIN!

Saturday was Auston's 3rd birthday...Carson's bff:) Brandy (his mommy) had him a very fun party at Froggy's in Warrior/Hayden. There were inflatable bouncy things that were so much fun!!! I think the adults did have just as much fun as the kids. Carson had a great time...I can't wait to take him back there!

Mommy's Day OFF!!! 8/1/08

I decided to take the day off on Friday to spend a day with Carson. I decided the day before that I wanted to take him to get his pictures made at Portrait Innovations, so I made an appointment for 11:00 on Friday. We got up and had breakfast and headed out to Trussville. Carson has never been crazy about getting pictures made in the studios so I was already nervous before arriving. When we got there and was waiting...Carson spotted a big rubber duckie that he just had to hold. Well...it came our turn for pictures and he didn't want to let go of the duck and would not get it out of his mind. There were 54 pictures taken and only about 6-7 came out good. Everytime I sat him down beside the props he would get right back up and run....which I know is typical of a 2 year old. We were able to get a few that were really cute though and I will post them soon! After we left PI, Carson and I headed to the end of the strip mall to a pizza place. I got in there and ordered at the counter and was about to pay when I realized that I didn't have my debit card!!! There were lots of people behind me and I was pouring sweat and digging through my big diaper bag trying to find the card! The girl at the counter put in my order and said I could come back to pay. I told her ok thinking that I would find it in the diaper bag, but it was no where to be found. At this point I was freaking out because my food was being made and I had no money and no credit cards on me. I also noticed that Best Buy was next to PI, so I was terrified that someone was going to use my card to buy some kind of expensive electronics! I went to the car and found 1 check left in my checkbook! The girl at the counter told me that they didn't accept checks, but thank goodness the nice manager let me write a check as long as I let him copy my drivers license! Carson seemed to really enjoy his grilled cheese because he ate the whole thing, but I was already so sick at my stomach and couldn't really eat my little pizza:) We went back to PI twice and they did not have my card. I'm guessing that I dropped it going out and someone picked it up. I did have Carson in one hand...diaper bag on shoulder with the props we took to get pics made with, so there is really no telling who may have my card. I was finally able to get in touch with Jeremy so he could call and cancel my card since I didn't have the Wachovia number on me. At this point, Carson and I had to put an end to our mommy/baby day since we had no way of paying for anything!
Later that afternoon, I had the idea of taking Carson to the Baron's game when Jeremy got home. Brandy called right after I had this idea and she was wanting us to do something with them and she had mentioned that she had the thought of going to the Baron's game too. Jeremy, Carson, and I left when Jeremy got home from work and had a yummy dinner at Wings and then headed to the Baron's game. Brandy and Auston met us over there and then we finally got to meet Anthony that she has been dating for the past few weeks!
It was Friday Fireworks and Carson seemed to really enjoy them this time! When we left he was still saying "orange" so he wanted to go back in and see the "orange" fireworks:)
It started off a really bad day with the debit card incident, but turned out to be not so bad afterall:)

Nesquik Choc Milk: NEVER again!!!

Well...Saturday morning we got up. Carson was a little groggy, but was of course ready to watch "Woo Hoo" (Tigger). Jeremy went to Jack's to get breakfast and I got Carson a cup of Nesquik Chocolate Milk while he was gone. This is the kind that is already ready to pour in the carton. Well...we have probably had the carton for 10 days or so, but the expiration date on it was August 23rd. Well...right after drinking the milk, I noticed that Carson was lifting his shirt and rubbing his belly. I knew something was just wrong because he just did not look good at all, but he did not have a fever. He sat in Jeremy's lap as we were watching cartoons. I was on the other end of the couch and leaned over toward them...all of a sudden Carson starts vomiting the milk back up! Yes...all over my face and all over Jeremy's clothes and it is all over Carson too. I got Carson and took him straight to the tub to clean him up while Jeremy cleaned up the mess downstairs. Well...Jeremy leaves to go buy Carson some medicine. I get Carson out of the tub...dressed....and all cleaned up and smelling good. I call mimi to tell her what happened and the milk starts coming up everywhere again, but this time all in the carpet...the first time was on the hardwood and easy to clean. We go back to the tub and start the cleaning process over. I was telling dad later on about the milk and he said he had bad stomach cramps after drinking the same kind of milk last week at his house. I really hate it because Carson really liked drinking it, but I don't think we are goint to buy any more Nesquik!!!!

Bye Bye Bay-O-Bee:

Carson and I hung out for most of the day on Sunday. He watched his usual Disney shows and I slowly cleaned house. We got word of the horrible news of Katie Burkett around lunch. We didn't personally know her, but her grandparents live in front of us and are such nice people. She was always over there visiting with them...it is just so sad! Carson went to his Grammy's for a few hours in the afternoon. Jeremy worked on drill for a band in Georgia and I straightened up a little in the house. Brandy called and I told her she could have Carson's kitty "Bay-O-Bee". We are only suppose to have my one cat (Sam) in our rental house and I just couldn't put her outside! We really didn't have anywhere to put her food bowl anyway since our deck isn't covered. Sam is allergic to fleas and I really didn't want fleas in my house, so I couldn't let her come in/out either. Brandy came over and got her while Carson was gone. Carson came home and asked for "Bay-O-Bee", but he got over it. So now Mr. Auston has a new kitty, but she will definitely have a new name:) Brandy went to lunch with me today and told me she has already got the kitty lots of pink bedding/toys/food bowls:) At least we can still see kitty on occasion:)

Chuck-E-Cheese

Saturday evening we planned to go check out Froggy's in Hayden. The plan do not go as planned. We got to the exit on the interstate and Carson was sound asleep. I told Jeremy to just keep going so we wouldn't have to wake him up. We ended up driving all the way to Decatur and went to Chuck-E-Cheese. Carson was awake and ready to play though when he got there. He had a lot of fun on this one spongebob game. He put the token in himself and the token had to land with the little color without hitting the lines. If it landed on the green square then you got 50 tickets. We hit the green so many times and ended up with over 1400 tickets:) Carson got a chuck-e-cheese tee, a ball, and a balloon:) We had so much fun!!!

Saturday Fun

On Saturday the 12th we went to Spring Valley beach again. This time, Aunt Gigi & Mal-me (Malerie Levan) went with us. We got there and it started pouring down raining and came a big storm right when we pulled up. We sat there for a while and it finally went away. We all got in the pool for a little while, but ventured out to the slides for the rest of the day. Carson really loves to ride the slide with Jeremy!! I always get hurt there though, so I will be scared to go back. This time my foot/ankle twisted (or something) when I got to the end of one of the slides. I was going really fast & hit the bottom way hard when I got to the end. I thought I would be going to the doctor, but thank god it got way better by Sunday afternoon! On the way home, Jeremy went down a road that had a really cool covered bridge (built in 1933) and we saw this redneck old old trailer that had a white bunny farm (in their front yard!!!!). It was really gross, but very funny at the same time. These weren't just bunnies...they were big white monster bunnies!!! I will post pics soon!!!

Sunday!! Mommy's last vacation day:(

Sunday was pretty much a lazy day for me and Carson. Jeremy worked on writting drill for Cordova's band director, so he was in front of the computer all day. Gina (aunt gigi) came over later in the evening and she went with me and Carson to eat dinner at O'Charley. We then went to Fultondale Elem. School and played on their wonderful playground equipment and played ball out in the grassy area around the track. We go there pretty often because no one is usually there besides us (so mom gets to play too on the slides:). I think Gina actually had more fun than Carson this time though. We had a playground photoshoot, so I will definitely upload those pics soon!!

FIRECRACKER DAY!!!! MOMMY's VACATION WEEK!!!

On the 4th, Carson & I played out in the yard most of the day. He got in his pool, we played in the sprinkler, and I laid out and got a tiny bit of sun. Jeremy wanted to grill, so he went grocery shopping and came back with all sorts of meats to grill. We ate his yummy food and then got ready to go to UAB for Jeremy's concert with UAB summer band and to see the "Thunder on the Mountain" fireworks downtown. We had just got off of the interstate and was on university blvd. Carson realizes where he is & says..."BLAZE". He is obsessed with "Blaze"...UAB's mascot, so it was so funny how he knew where he was without even actually seeing blaze yet:) We pulled up at about the same time as Grammy (Sheri...Jeremy's mom), so Jeremy went off to get ready for his concert and Sheri and I took pictures of Carson beside the new blaze statue and watched Carson eat his "do-no" that he had previous pitched a fit for as we were trying to get out of the house. Jeremy's old college friends, Sean and Jennifer Day came and sat beside us...Carson especially loved "jen". A little later Bob Ammons and his son/daughter-in-law, and stepson David Howard came and sat with us too. I took a blanket for Carson & I to sit on to watch the concert, but he was way to busy to sit! He danced to the band music and clapped after each song. After the concert we rushed to the parking lot to watch the fireworks. Carson didn't like the fireworks the night before at the barons game ( probably because they were really up close and loud), but he loved them this time! He named off all the colors as they lit up the sky. We then went to Formaggio's for a late dinner with Sean & Jen and had a great time with our great friends!!!

Mommy's Vacation Week!!! July 2 WEDNESDAY

I was off from work July 2-July 6th, so it was great being at home with the hubby & Carson. Wednesday we went to Spring Valley Beach in Blountsville. The plan was to get there around 11:30am, but that plan was destroyed by arm floaties.....yes, arm floaties. I knew Wal-Mart had them, but I wanted to avoid going there. We went to Rite Aid, CVS, TARGET, and even the pool place & NONE of them had arm floaties...I couldn't believe target didn't!! Needless to say...we ended up going to walmart:) We then stopped to eat lunch at a little place called Howard's that was pretty tasty (except for the greasy fried pickles that I was really excited about at first) & finally made it to SVB about 1pm:) Carson had such a great time!! He got on the water slides with Jeremy time & time again and LOVED it!!! Hopefully we will be able to take him back soon! I couldn't believe a water park was out in the middle of the boonies, but it is actually really nice. Brandy takes Auston all the time, so I am glad we took her advice and went...hopefully we will get to go back before the summer ends. I've got lots of cute pictures, but I am the slowest person to upload pictures from my camera, but I will post them soon!

Carson & Tessie in the dirt

Yesterday on Saturday morning Jeremy had a Fultondale Alumni banquet.  Tammy, Alex, Michael, & Tessie came to visit from Memphis, so Carson had a good buddy to play with yesterday...Tessie.  They had a lot of fun playing in the dirt!!!

Happy Birthday Carden Jacobs!!!!!

Yesterday we went to Carden Jacob's birthday party.  He turned two years old! Carden is the son of Cara (Cummings) Jacobs and "Butch" Jacobs:)  He had the most adorable alligator themed party.  All of the kids really enjoyed the bouncy house/slide outside!!! We were sad to leave early because we had such a great time with all of our great friends (and actually some of my family...Judy, Mac, LeAnn, & Lauren) HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY CARDEN...HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT GATOR DAY....<3>

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRANDY!!!!

Yesterday was Brandy's birthday...I wished her a Happy Birthday, but now Carson would like to wish her a happy belated birthday!!!! LOVE YOU BRANDY!!!!!

BAY-O-BEE Kitty

Last night, Carson & Jeremy went to ride in the wagon around the block as I was cooking us a yummy homemade pizza back at home. They get home & Jeremy brings in a probably 5-6 week old calico baby kitty. It just meowed & meowed. We gave it some cheese/water for the time being since I didn't have kitten chow on me & she was just too small for Sammy Cat's food. She was very happy after eating. Carson loves the little kitty, but doesn't call it kitty...he calls her Bay-o-bee (aka: baby) & it is too funny! Carson & I left after dinner & got the little bay-o-bee some kitten chow & a little toy at walmart. We were going to get a small litter box, but I got home & realized that I had forgotten the most important thing, so Jeremy said he would go to winn-dixie & get one. He got back & we set up bay-o-bee kitty a little spot in the kitchen. I had a little bed for Sammy Cat that he has never used, so I put kitty to sleep on it. I got up this morning & she was still in the same spot. Sammy Cat isn't too fond of bay-o-bee kitty though. He hissed at her last night and this morning just kind of stared at her wondering why she was invading his kingdom. Carson really loves bay-o-bee kitty though...hopefully she won't turn into a pancake kitty:)I will take some pics soon & post...I am so slow at uploading all my pics!!

Carson: The Wedding Crasher

Saturday was such a fun day! Jeremy decided he wanted to go grocery shopping (guess he got sick of waiting on me), so me and Carson played outside. I filled up his little pool with water, turned on the sprinkler, got my chair out lay in, and let him have at it. He had such a good time splashing me with water...I was soaked when we went in:) We then went in and got ready to go to my cousin Kim Payne's wedding at Bethel in Dora. She is now Mrs. Kim Cunningham. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was a blast. I don't think I have ever seen Carson have so much fun. Jeremy doesn't (won't) dance, so I thought Carson would get out on the dancefloor with mom and let me twirl him around, but Mr. Independent wanted to dance all by himself. He danced/ran around the entire time the music was going. He didn't even stop too many times to take a breath...it was too funny. Kim & Justin left as a mock exit, but came back to dance before leaving for the night. Carson got right back out there & danced and ended up being the last one to leave the dance floor. We had such a great time laughing at him. We got in the car and headed back to Fultondale...Carson finally fell asleep when we got to Gardendale. We got home & Jeremy laid him in the bed. He rose up for just a second and said...Ma Ma, DaDa, MiMi, Pop....he looked around (I guess to see where he was) and then laid back down with his hands rested behind his head and was instantly back asleep...he was give out!!! I've got a lot of pictues of Carson dancing on my Camera that I will post later, but I've just got to get them downloaded!

Chuck E Cheese Please!!!

Friday night June 20th I got home & Jeremy was determined to go somewhere for the night:) He knew I had been wanting to take Carson to the Chuck E Cheese in Decatur (because it is so clean...has nice employees, and never crowded). We went once with Brandy & Auston & I swore I would never go back to the one in Vestavia, but Jeremy didn't go last time with us. He decided he wanted to go without me even asking this time, so off to Decatur we went. We stopped at an Italian resturant on the way called Romeo's...it was delicious:) Carson had a pizza, but wasn't too crazy about it, so he ate my Alfredo with me. We left there & went to Chuck E Cheese. Carson had a lot of fun last time we were there, but he wasn't all that crazy this time about riding in the little cars. He had more fun walking up the skee-ball ramp and putting the balls in for us. He wouldn't put it in the 10,000 point spot though...he only cared to put it in the one for 1000 points, so no bonus tickets for us...:) I think Jeremy & I actually had a lot more fun than he did:) We went to turn in our tickets to get Carson's prize with our 600 tickets and Carson got a Chuck E Cheese plate, cup, bowl, & spoon/fork set. The girl at the counter that worked there also gave him a balloon for the ride home. He was tired and was ill all the way home, but overall we had a wonderful time:)

A Night at the Ballpark!

Last night we went to see the Birmingham Barons play. MiMi and Poppie met us there, so Carson had a great time! When we got there we were happy to see Carson's friend Carden pull up in the parking lot...we had no idea he was going to be there too! Carson loves nachos so he ate those and then shared a banana split dippin' dots icecream with mom! Jeremy met some really nice people that were sitting next to us and we talked to them for a very long time. It was a very nice summer night out. We go to the games quite often and always have a great time! Carson is just not very excited when it is Friday Fireworks night...he is terrified of them!

Dinner/New Swing at Grammy's

Last night we spent the afternoon at Grammy's house. A.K.A Sheri (Jeremy's mom). She bought Carson and the rest of the kids a new swingset for her backyard, so Jeremy and I put it together (well most of it...there is still a little to go). She made dinner for us, but Carson was just really really into the doughnuts she bought from Fultondale bakery instead, but he calls them "do-no's"...it is so cute! We rode Carson over there in his red wagon that he got from his great Aunt Faye and he just loves it! Carson seemed to be upset that he could not find the "moo moo" a.k.a...the moon ( HE LOVES THE MOON!!!) Even the sun...he calls it the "moo moo". We left there and went home...got a bath. I made my first attempt to ask him if he wanted to pee pee in the potty when I took his clothes off before bathtime. I sat him up on his little stool as he stood their naked and he only attempted to put his foot in the toilet! I guess he thought he was getting a bath in a new place last night:) I got him down and as I was about to put him in the tub...he then of course went in the floor...all I could do was just laugh at him as he was smiling at me knowing what he had just done! After bathtime we played for just a little while, watched "Tigger & Pooh" & then went to bed!

Happy Father's Day!!!!

Today Sunday June 15th was DADDY day. We woke up at around 9am. Carson & I wanted to make it a special day for dad, so we made plans for the 3 of us to have a special family day. Dad woke up and got his father's day present. We made him a special book of Carson from the kodak gallery. It has pictures in it from when Carson was born up till now. The color of the book was suppose to be red, but when we got it in the mail...I opened it up to find that the cover was an ugly burnt orange color, but oh well...the inside of the book is what matters! Carson's favorite color is orange anyway! We got up and had breakfast and then got ready to leave for the day. We left & first went to eat at Salsarita's in Homewood for lunch. Mom definitely found her new favorite mexican restruant & it was very cheap...kids eat free on Sundays!!! It was soooo....very very good!!! After that we left & went to the McWane Center downtown. This has been something that we have wanted to do for a while now. They have a special floor right now for toddlers with all kinds of toys...Carson seemed to really have a fun time...he really enjoyed pushing the grocery carts around!!! We left there and headed to Corner to take Poppie his father's day gift. Carson got him a mug with their picture on it and an autographed Rick and Bubba book. Carson thinks he liked the mug the best!! We left there and went back home. We got in the bed and watched Tigger & Pooh & then went to sleep. Lucky mom had to get up and got to work!

The NUMBER 9!!!

Most of you know, Carson is obsessed with the number 9!!! We have no idea why...just happens to be his favorite number...doesn't care to say 1...2...or 3...just 9!!! I got home from work yesterday and laid across the bed for a little while. The hubby and Carson came upstairs with me. Jeremy and I were talking about our day as Carson was standing in the floor, but leaning on the bed. He is jabbering of course, but all of a sudden he says "9" and starts pointing. Jeremy looks on the comforter to where he is pointing...there is a tiny ( I mean tiny) piece of white thread on the comforter and the top of it was curled to where it looked just like the number nine!! It was so funny!!! I have no idea what it is about number nine, but he points to it everywhere...on clocks...the cases on "Deal or No Deal" on tv...and just gets so excited anytime he sees 9 :) I guess his ball number is a couple of years will probably be 9:) He also has a new word ( my fav place to eat) ...Stix!! Now he goes around saying Stix...Stix...Stix:) I'm so excited about the one being built in Fultondale & I think he is too!!!!

Lazy Sunday:)

Well...Sunday was a very lazy day, but very nice! I wanted to play in the yard with Carson so bad and let him play in the pool, but he had an ear infection last week and today is the last day of his antibiotics, so Jeremy convinced me that it would be a good idea & to wait till next weekend to have some fun. We ended up watching all of the Disney morning cartoons. We stayed in the house all day and even had pizza delivered:) We went out about 8pm & got in the swing, but the mosquitos were horrible , so we went back inside to avoid West Nile:) Jeremy decided at about 8:30pm that it would be a good idea for Carson to stay with mimi & pop because he had to take his car to Bessemer Monday morning for repair and get a rental car. A kid at McAdory keyed his car last month all the way around...& when I say keyed...I mean KEYED, but the kid did get about 3 others teachers cars too, which is terrible, but at least it wasn't just someone out to get Jeremy. Just wish the camera would have caught the little terd! Anyhoo...I called mom and they insisted on coming to get him instead of us driving to Corner so they could go for ice-cream in Gardendale. They got there about 9pm and he was very excited:) He didn't have a nap all day & I was told he didn't go to bed till 11pm!

Kiersten's Birthday Party

Today we got up & got ready for Kiersten's birthday party. (of course I had pancakes for breakfast first though). We had a lot of fun at the party! It was Kiersten's first birthday. There were lots of boys my age there, but I prefered to just play with my mom:) Meg got us all a bunch of silly string...sure was funny when mom got dad, but even funnier when the older kid got dad & it stuck to his back for the rest of the evening! Kiersten really enjoyed her cake...dug right into it! Anyhoo....Dad went to work on my table & chairs at his dad's house and I am with my mom for the night. We came to visit mimi & pop for a little while and are about to go get a bite to eat. Well...they are actually in the car ready to go now, so see ya'll later.....CAR CAR

Hey Everyone

This is going to be my new blog. My mom and dad are going to update everyone on here with new things that I do. There is something new everyday. My vocabulary is definitely starting to expand. The word HORE-E has been my new word, but moms says it is actaully horse-e:) Dad started this by giving me a fun ride on his foot/leg! Now everytime they sit down or course I want to ride the hore-e!!! My birthday party was great...it was on May 24th!!! A lot of my friends/family came: mom, dad, Aunt Gigi, MiMi, Poppy, Grammy, Nana, Aunt Malerie, Granny & Papa Phillips, Great-Great Aunt Faye, Butch, Cara, Carden, Amy, Raleigh, Nikki, Great-Grandaddy Burkhalter, Keith, Koen, Meg, Kiersten, Bob, Jan, Bailey, Great Aunt Donna, Bradley, Ashley...hopefully I remembered everybody. Aunt Brandy & my bff Auston couldn't come because he was sick! My theme of the party was beach balls/outdoor water fun. We had inflatable pools that me, Koen, & Carden had a great time in!!! Aunt Gigi, Malerie, Bradley, & Ashley had their fun (since they are older) on a slip n slide, but us little kids had a sprinkler to play in too. Thanks to everyone that came and for all of my great presents!!!! Mom says next year we are definitely going to stay cool & have an indoor party!
