Nesquik Choc Milk: NEVER again!!!

Well...Saturday morning we got up. Carson was a little groggy, but was of course ready to watch "Woo Hoo" (Tigger). Jeremy went to Jack's to get breakfast and I got Carson a cup of Nesquik Chocolate Milk while he was gone. This is the kind that is already ready to pour in the carton. Well...we have probably had the carton for 10 days or so, but the expiration date on it was August 23rd. Well...right after drinking the milk, I noticed that Carson was lifting his shirt and rubbing his belly. I knew something was just wrong because he just did not look good at all, but he did not have a fever. He sat in Jeremy's lap as we were watching cartoons. I was on the other end of the couch and leaned over toward them...all of a sudden Carson starts vomiting the milk back up! Yes...all over my face and all over Jeremy's clothes and it is all over Carson too. I got Carson and took him straight to the tub to clean him up while Jeremy cleaned up the mess downstairs. Well...Jeremy leaves to go buy Carson some medicine. I get Carson out of the tub...dressed....and all cleaned up and smelling good. I call mimi to tell her what happened and the milk starts coming up everywhere again, but this time all in the carpet...the first time was on the hardwood and easy to clean. We go back to the tub and start the cleaning process over. I was telling dad later on about the milk and he said he had bad stomach cramps after drinking the same kind of milk last week at his house. I really hate it because Carson really liked drinking it, but I don't think we are goint to buy any more Nesquik!!!!

Bye Bye Bay-O-Bee:

Carson and I hung out for most of the day on Sunday. He watched his usual Disney shows and I slowly cleaned house. We got word of the horrible news of Katie Burkett around lunch. We didn't personally know her, but her grandparents live in front of us and are such nice people. She was always over there visiting with them...it is just so sad! Carson went to his Grammy's for a few hours in the afternoon. Jeremy worked on drill for a band in Georgia and I straightened up a little in the house. Brandy called and I told her she could have Carson's kitty "Bay-O-Bee". We are only suppose to have my one cat (Sam) in our rental house and I just couldn't put her outside! We really didn't have anywhere to put her food bowl anyway since our deck isn't covered. Sam is allergic to fleas and I really didn't want fleas in my house, so I couldn't let her come in/out either. Brandy came over and got her while Carson was gone. Carson came home and asked for "Bay-O-Bee", but he got over it. So now Mr. Auston has a new kitty, but she will definitely have a new name:) Brandy went to lunch with me today and told me she has already got the kitty lots of pink bedding/toys/food bowls:) At least we can still see kitty on occasion:)

Chuck-E-Cheese

Saturday evening we planned to go check out Froggy's in Hayden. The plan do not go as planned. We got to the exit on the interstate and Carson was sound asleep. I told Jeremy to just keep going so we wouldn't have to wake him up. We ended up driving all the way to Decatur and went to Chuck-E-Cheese. Carson was awake and ready to play though when he got there. He had a lot of fun on this one spongebob game. He put the token in himself and the token had to land with the little color without hitting the lines. If it landed on the green square then you got 50 tickets. We hit the green so many times and ended up with over 1400 tickets:) Carson got a chuck-e-cheese tee, a ball, and a balloon:) We had so much fun!!!

Saturday Fun

On Saturday the 12th we went to Spring Valley beach again. This time, Aunt Gigi & Mal-me (Malerie Levan) went with us. We got there and it started pouring down raining and came a big storm right when we pulled up. We sat there for a while and it finally went away. We all got in the pool for a little while, but ventured out to the slides for the rest of the day. Carson really loves to ride the slide with Jeremy!! I always get hurt there though, so I will be scared to go back. This time my foot/ankle twisted (or something) when I got to the end of one of the slides. I was going really fast & hit the bottom way hard when I got to the end. I thought I would be going to the doctor, but thank god it got way better by Sunday afternoon! On the way home, Jeremy went down a road that had a really cool covered bridge (built in 1933) and we saw this redneck old old trailer that had a white bunny farm (in their front yard!!!!). It was really gross, but very funny at the same time. These weren't just bunnies...they were big white monster bunnies!!! I will post pics soon!!!

Sunday!! Mommy's last vacation day:(

Sunday was pretty much a lazy day for me and Carson. Jeremy worked on writting drill for Cordova's band director, so he was in front of the computer all day. Gina (aunt gigi) came over later in the evening and she went with me and Carson to eat dinner at O'Charley. We then went to Fultondale Elem. School and played on their wonderful playground equipment and played ball out in the grassy area around the track. We go there pretty often because no one is usually there besides us (so mom gets to play too on the slides:). I think Gina actually had more fun than Carson this time though. We had a playground photoshoot, so I will definitely upload those pics soon!!

FIRECRACKER DAY!!!! MOMMY's VACATION WEEK!!!

On the 4th, Carson & I played out in the yard most of the day. He got in his pool, we played in the sprinkler, and I laid out and got a tiny bit of sun. Jeremy wanted to grill, so he went grocery shopping and came back with all sorts of meats to grill. We ate his yummy food and then got ready to go to UAB for Jeremy's concert with UAB summer band and to see the "Thunder on the Mountain" fireworks downtown. We had just got off of the interstate and was on university blvd. Carson realizes where he is & says..."BLAZE". He is obsessed with "Blaze"...UAB's mascot, so it was so funny how he knew where he was without even actually seeing blaze yet:) We pulled up at about the same time as Grammy (Sheri...Jeremy's mom), so Jeremy went off to get ready for his concert and Sheri and I took pictures of Carson beside the new blaze statue and watched Carson eat his "do-no" that he had previous pitched a fit for as we were trying to get out of the house. Jeremy's old college friends, Sean and Jennifer Day came and sat beside us...Carson especially loved "jen". A little later Bob Ammons and his son/daughter-in-law, and stepson David Howard came and sat with us too. I took a blanket for Carson & I to sit on to watch the concert, but he was way to busy to sit! He danced to the band music and clapped after each song. After the concert we rushed to the parking lot to watch the fireworks. Carson didn't like the fireworks the night before at the barons game ( probably because they were really up close and loud), but he loved them this time! He named off all the colors as they lit up the sky. We then went to Formaggio's for a late dinner with Sean & Jen and had a great time with our great friends!!!

Mommy's Vacation Week!!! July 2 WEDNESDAY

I was off from work July 2-July 6th, so it was great being at home with the hubby & Carson. Wednesday we went to Spring Valley Beach in Blountsville. The plan was to get there around 11:30am, but that plan was destroyed by arm floaties.....yes, arm floaties. I knew Wal-Mart had them, but I wanted to avoid going there. We went to Rite Aid, CVS, TARGET, and even the pool place & NONE of them had arm floaties...I couldn't believe target didn't!! Needless to say...we ended up going to walmart:) We then stopped to eat lunch at a little place called Howard's that was pretty tasty (except for the greasy fried pickles that I was really excited about at first) & finally made it to SVB about 1pm:) Carson had such a great time!! He got on the water slides with Jeremy time & time again and LOVED it!!! Hopefully we will be able to take him back soon! I couldn't believe a water park was out in the middle of the boonies, but it is actually really nice. Brandy takes Auston all the time, so I am glad we took her advice and went...hopefully we will get to go back before the summer ends. I've got lots of cute pictures, but I am the slowest person to upload pictures from my camera, but I will post them soon!
